Tbh I think it has nothing to do with what clothing brand he’s sponsored by. Giving Steph a superstar whistle, or for that matter an average whistle, would straight up have broken basketball from 2015-2022. At a time when the warriors were already the most dominant force of the decade. I 100% believe Steph’s horrible whistle is a conspiracy from Adam silver to prevent the warriors from running away with like 5 straight nba championships during that time. And now this is just the way that he is officiated because that’s the way it’s always been. It’d be less game breaking now because the warriors are not as good. But even at this age if Steph even got an average whistle he’d be averaging like >32 ppg.
